Excellent service

Checked into Holiday Inn Hemel Hempstead. Everything was fine. However went for dinner and a young lady called Scarlet served me and my colleague. Her customer service was second to none. She smiled,chatted with us even explained the menu items. This young lady is an asset to your business. I hope she gets feedback. Keep up the good work 👏

Lovely stay

Lovely stay. Nice location and clean basic room. Nice shower. Only gripe is slightly dodgy car park checkout - make sure you correctly verify ticket at desk prior to leaving! Many thanks to very friendly & helpful staff - see you again.

Worst customer service I have ever seen

Before I even got a chance to book a room with them, a security guard threatened to issue me a parking fine within 60 seconds of me arriving at their Canterbury location. This was at 3am after a long drive and I needed both fuel and sleep, however clearly the staff thought it would be best to chase potential customers away with the threats of fines. I'm appalled.

The hotel itself is quite good but hard…

The hotel itself is quite good but hard to access as the local road system sends you on a tour of round-abouts if approached from the Chatham direction. My bad experience was that my wife left her iPhone charger in the room when we left. I contacted the hotel the following day. Couldn't do by phone as no one answers so sent an email. - no reply. As I booked using my company name, I received a call from their marketing department eager to sign me up as a business client. Whilst speaking to the caller I mentioned my annoyance that I hadn't had the courtesy of a reply regarding the left charger. As a result, I received a contact from the Rochester hotel stating I would receive a call back soon. No call. I contacted the hotel reception - no answer. Tried again next day - no answer. I sent a complaint to the hotel - no answer. Raised a complaint via Resolver and advised I would receive a reply in 24 hours - no answer. Chased via Resolver and got a reply that the charger wasn't left in the room. A totally poor response. What bothers me about this is not the lost charger - they are inexpensive, but the inability of the hotel management to follow up a complaint and the reception that doesn't answer its phone. I won't be visiting that hotel again.

Booked holiday Edinburgh west

Booked holiday Edinburgh west, Arrived 5/9/22 . We are booked in for seven days . We went down to breakfast next day 6/9//22. To be told there were no eggs , I am a vegetarian but have problems with the additives to flour , so eggs a major part of my diet . They had not run out of eggs it was they actually never had eggs and were waiting a delivery . What sort of hotel cannot provide a egg at breakfast time .At breakfast time today they only had scrambled eggs . I asked for a fried egg to be told they do that . On questioning a member of staff she said they were not real eggs . So they came in a packet so some sort of powdered egg . There was no indication these were not fresh eggs . And that has real implications for allergy suffers like myself

The hotel stated they had a evening meal main menu and we could have a evening meal vegan / vegetarian . Etc etc . This in fact was not true . They do have a full evening menu. But they do not provide anything on the evening meals “mains “ part of the menu . But they can provide is pizza . Or curry neither of which is suitable for me .which appeared to be ordered in
We complained to receptionist who said sorry they had kitchen issues . This is really not good enough
We booked this particular hotel because . We stayed at it when it was a Holiday Inn. And stupidly thought it was just a new name but the standard would be the same .
This group has no customer service , shrugging off the fact guests were told they had a choice of evening meals . We have taken taxis in and out of Edinburgh in the evening because they cannot provide the menu they said they could provide …shocking But never again will I stay in a hotel owned by this group. .

New jack city getto mannerism from front of staff manager!

Booked a room on 4 September 2022. I was given reservation number. Arrive at hotel. To not even be greeted by the front of staff. Instead a black woman stating she was the manger without smiling and with a new jack City getto style lingio said there aren't any rooms available. I said we can show her our reservation number that we were sent by email and she said the main number keep booking rooms which aren't available. My other half then rang the main number and it was the same helpful lady we spoke to earlier on. She said there is a room available showing on the system, hence why she was able to book the room. The new jack city getto manager then said she's done a audit so she can't access the system. We can sit in the waiting area but we won't be seen until 4am. I then told Ms new jack city getto that I don't appreciate her tone because she has aittude which I don't appreciate we are their guests how are we supposed to know about when she does her dam audits? She then said in a sarcastic way she apologises for her tone. I said I find it very unprofessional and the Belfry hotel never behave so unprofessional. I also said I will be sharing this atrocious experience on trustpilot. We left so shocked by it all. I've stayed at many hotels and I've never experienced such barbaric service. I question how this woman is a front of house manager. I can't help but think it's because the company has to employ black members of staff to look diverse because this woman needs urgent training in customer expertise service and how not to speak in a Aston lingo getto manner. I am mixedheritage race myself (Half West Indian and Half Welsh) I also have previously worked at LA Fitness front of staff receptionist, Royal mail as a post woman and a Dispenser at Boot's and I have never spoken or acted the way this rude woman did today. Unless her aittude is immediately addressed she will be losing the hotel a lot of a money and customers!

Holiday Inn Express - Gloucester

Stayed at Holiday Inn Express - Taunton a week ago. Staff were very friendly and helpful, allowing us to have breakfast together as a family, including our dog, in the reception area.

What a different experience at Holiday Inn Express - Gloucester. We were here this time last year and there was no problem having our dog with us for breakfast. This year, we were told we would either have to rotate having breakfast or take it back to our room. Absolutely no intention to be helpful or want to. The staff are still as unhelpful and impersonal as previously, so they have maintained some consistency there! Must say £25 for a dog to just stay in the room and receive a pathetic doggie welcome bag with a ball and two little treats is somewhat a little costly.

Will be looking for a more personable alternative for next year.

Worst Hotel in Birmingham

Holiday Inn Snowhill Birmingham

The White Middle aged woman behind the desk was the only helpful person in the company.

They gave us the room key and everyday we had to keep coming downstairs for them to reset the keys as it wouldn’t open the door. Yesterday evening when we went to complain to the duty manager why we kept coming down as no one was answering the phone by the lift his response was ‘ We are Busy ’

The shower was cold never warm or hot.

House keeping walked in on me and my partner when we was undressing and didn’t even knock, they kept coming in the room and throwing away things we left on the table.

Last day we came down for breakfast the bread was stale yet they put it out for people to eat, even took pictures.

The room was so stuffy with a little fan no windows or air con.

Room itself wasn’t clean the blinds were broken and on the window sill it was dirty with dead flies.

The bed was uncomfortable not value for money.

When we went to complain to the main manager 2 days ago him and his colleague whispered that they will give us a refund if we don’t put a review on trust-pilot rather than addressing the issues.

Will not be staying here again or recommending to anyone.

It was a very bad experience in Holiday Inn Leeds – Wakefield and Holiday Inn Express Wakefield, an IHG Hotel. I booked first hotel and after I arrived at 21:00 I was told that there was no room anymore, I was upset because it is night and I was finally referred to second hotel 2.5 MILS away from first one, they guaranteed that all the terms remained including free parking. But after I arrived at the second hotel, there was no parking space for me to use, the reception staff let me park at a paid park building opposite, I did not agree because I reversed hotel with free parking, then he promised the manager will pay for parking fee in next morning, but the next morning the manager refused the promise of the receptionist. If I can review Zero, I will give 0.

Rip off

Absolutely appalling, captive audience with their airport “shuttle bus” charging a fortune. £4 a person each time, when most hotels offer a free shuttle bus service.
